Our Recreational Skis and Snowboards are built for progression—helping you learn, gain confidence, and level up with ease. Our expert crew will dial in the perfect fit, so you’re comfy, confident, and ready to ride. Top tip: If you're grabbing your gear up the mountain, allow plenty of time for a proper fit—smooth sailing means more shredding!
Performance Rentals
Ski/Snowboard, Boots, Poles, HelmetFeeling good on the slopes? Take it up a notch with our Performance Rental fleet—designed for skiers and riders who want next-level flex and top-tier gear. We stock the latest high-performance skis and snowboards, so you can match your setup to the moment. Pow day? Grab some floaty skis. Afternoon groomers? Swap for precision carvers. Chasing thrills? We’ve got the kit to keep up. You’re in control. Ride what suits the moment.
Clothing Hire
We stock a range of ski/snowboard appropriate jackets and trousers that you can hire from us on the mountain to set you up for a fun and comfortable day on the snow. We do not hire gloves, hats or goggles for hygiene reasons, but these are available for purchase from our on mountain snow shops where you can also find any last-minute items you might need including sunscreen, ski socks, neck warmers and lots of other essential ski gear.
Workshop & Repairs
Gear that's tuned just gives you so much more when you're shredding the slopes. Drop into our workshop at Coronet Peak and the team can promptly tune, repair and service your skis, boards and boots.
Rentals Pick Up
Booked online? Here’s the game plan.
Make life easy—grab your rental gear early at the Snow Centre (25 Shotover St, Queenstown) after 3 PM the day before you hit the slopes. Trust us, it’s a game-changer—especially if you've got a morning lesson.
Heads up: If you pick up from the Snow Centre, you MUST return your gear there.
Prefer to sort it on the mountain? No worries—swing by Rentals in the base building when you arrive. Just allow plenty of time to get fitted before you hit the slopes.
Top tip: Snag your MyPass Card from our Kiosks (just scan your confirmation email) or pop into Guest Services before heading to Rentals.

Overnight Storage
If you're skiing back to back days and hiring your equipment from us, you can store your gear in our overnight storage area.
Save lugging your gear up and down the mountain or getting fitted again, simply collect it before you head out on snow the next day!
Overnight storage is limited and in peak times it does fill up. It's located just next to the Rentals area in the base building.
Before You Arrive
Hyped to hit the snow? Let’s get you sorted—fast!
We’ll get you fitted and on your way in no time, but a little prep goes a long way.
What You Can Do Beforehand:
✅ Know your stats – We’ll need your weight (kg), height, and shoe size.
✅ Skiers: Your age, weight, and height help us set your DIN (ski release setting).
✅ Snowboarders: We’ll match you with the right board size based on your height and shoe size.
✅ Booked online? Fill out your Online Profile beforehand—it’ll speed things up at Rentals!
Sort Your MyPass Card
Before heading to Rentals, grab your MyPass Card from Guest Services or print it at a Kiosk (Snow Centre or on-mountain) by scanning your confirmation email barcode.

FAQs
Rental Tips & Tricks
To help us get you through the rental process as quick as possible and onto snow, it’s best to know your weight, height and foot size before you arrive.
Ski boots use mondo sizing, where as snowboard boots can sometimes fit one size bigger than your normal size.
Our Adult Rental Clothing Sizing runs XS-XXL.
Can I swap from Skis to Snowboard?

Can I hire Googles & Gloves
Due to hygiene reasons we don't hire Googles and Gloves, but you can purchase these on the mountain from our retail shop.
Are Helmets included
Yes, helmets are included with all equipment rentals. We want you to protect your noggin, so please do wear a helmet when on the snow.
